Bill and Susan Means
Bill was born to Rev. W. A. Means and Mildred Means in Booneville, Arkansas in 1949. His father was a Southern Baptist minister that established Churches in west central Arkansas. He was saved at the age of 7 and at age 9 the Lord told him he would preach the gospel. Like many preachers kids the devil was able to distract him for many years. He spent 10 years in the United States Navy seeing Vietnam (the first of three tours) when he was 17 years old. In those ten years he was a Quarter Master, Jet engine mechanic, and worked as a criminal investigator in the Criminal Investigation Department. He also worked for a year with the San Diego Police Department as a reserve officer working street patrol in San Diego, Ca. After he left the Navy he worked as a Homicide Investigator for the Pulaski County Sheriff Department.
Bill was certainly adventurous, but little did he know the adventures the Lord had in store for him. One afternoon after work while sitting alone at home, the Lord began to speak to him. It had been a long time since he had heard the voice of God, but he still recognized it. The Lord said to him, “You've tried everything this world has to offer, are you ready now to follow me?” Bill answered him, “Yes, if I can have what you talk about in the Bible. You said to heal the sick, cast out demons, and raise the dead. I’m tired of useless dead religion that does nothing and has no life to it.” The Lord’s answer was short and simple, “Follow me and I’ll make you.” That began an awesome adventure with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Bill sat under Pastor Jonathon Payne at a Southern Baptist Church for about five years who began his training learning how to study the Word. He was hungry for more than what this Pastor could teach him. One day the Pastor gave him a book about Smith Wigglesworth and said, “I think this is what you are looking for.” That was all it took. Smith Wigglesworth said that you needed the baptism of the Holy Spirit to do what he was doing, and that was healing the sick, casting out demons and raising the dead. He didn't stop until he received the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Soon after receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit the Lord told him to go sit under Dr. Jeff Thompson the Pastor of a Charismatic Pentecostal Church. It wasn't long under the instruction of Dr. Thompson that the gifts of the Spirit began to manifest. Prophecy, miracles, healings and creative miracles, along with in-depth teaching of the Word became the corner stone of his ministry. While under Dr. Thompson Bill graduated from Faith Bible Institute, a two year Bible College, and made his first missionary trip to Chile in South America. The trip was so successful that he was invited to come back the next year and hold a crusade in the city soccer stadium.
Just before going to South America the first time Bill attended an outreach meeting held by Prophetess Susan Cook in Van Buren, Arkansas. She prophesied many wonderful things to him that night, but the Lord also spoke to him and said that Susan was to be his wife. The next year they were married.
Bill and Susan founded Inner Circle Ministries a 501c3 nonprofit organization an Apostolic/Prophetic ministry located in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Bill’s heart is in Fathering and raising up Spiritual Sons and Daughters and sending them forth demonstrating the Kingdom of God upon the earth. Overseas missions is also a major part of the vision of ICM.
Bill has been used mightily by the Lord in both teaching and working of miracles. This includes, the opening of blind eyes and deaf ears, mute speaking, people healed and coming out of wheel chairs, blood diseases healed, blockages in the heart totally cleared, legs growing out, scoliosis of the spine healed, a creative miracle of flesh manifested on a woman’s heel where there was no flesh, many devils cast out
